Rolex Datejust Wide Boy Box and Papers
Rolex Datejust Wide Boy Box and Papers
This is a true rarity…an early 70s Datejust with a beautiful Wide Boy dial that includes box and papers. In fact, this one is a “full set” including double box, papers, books, vinyl wallet, and evidence of past service. These are getting harder and harder to find which is not surprising when you consider the fact that this watch is roughly 50 years old. This beautiful artifact has a 3.3 mil serial number which means it was born in 1973, and the paperwork dates the retail sale in 1975. It is in good vintage condition with wear from normal use. The sunburst silver dial appears to be in very good condition with beautiful lume plots that have aged to a cream color and match the hands well. The folded link jubilee bracelet shows some stretch but has a lot of life left in it. The clasp has a 1971 date code.
If you are looking for a great vintage Rolex that has some nice patina and a gorgeous dial, this is the one for you. There is still a lot of value in these older Datejusts….especially those with all the accessories included!
