Omega Speedmaster First Omega In Space Sedna Gold
Omega Speedmaster First Omega In Space Sedna Gold
This is a real beauty! The First Omega In Space (FOIS) crafted in 18k Sedna Gold. This is one of Omega’s proprietary alloys…their version of rose gold. This watch has so much going for it visually and it is a numbered edition that is no longer in production. First things first, this is a manual wind chronograph with the same movement that was in the legendary moonwatch for decades (1861). It is housed in Omega’s smaller manual Speedmaster case that measures 39.7 mm in diameter. This watch pays tribute to the Speedmaster worn by Wally Schirra in 1962 when we first went to space. Schirra’s was a 2998 but this one is a re-edition of sorts. It is essentially the same size but takes some liberty with the design and is truly beautiful. The cream colored dial and brown subdials and bezel look absolutely perfect with the Sedna gold. Gold Speedmasters are now being produced in greater numbers but this is one of the best looking ones Omega ever made.
It comes with double box, cards, card holder and book as shown.
